A compact fourth order locally one-dimensional FDTD Method

Abstract: A numerical dispersion improved locally onedimensional finite-difference time-domain (LOD-FDTD) based on compact implicit fourth order scheme is proposed in this paper. The numerical dispersion error is shown to be reduced due to the fourth order spatial accuracy. Meanwhile the proposed LOD-FDTD scheme is simpler than its ADI-FDTD counterpart.
