A comparative analysis of family structure in an urban family practice program.

Abstract: Urban families are diverse in structure. Standard health care registration data used by family physicians may be inaccurate, and the means by which the data are gathered may be inappropriate. The panel of patients seen by a family physician may not be representative of the community served nor consist solely of family households.
