A Comparative Study on Efficacy of Ondansetron and Granisetron in Prevention of Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Surgeries Under General Anaesthesia

Abstract: BACKGROUND Postoperative nausea and vomiting is one of the many side effects of patients undergoing laparoscopic surgeries under general anaesthesia. Its prevention is major concern of anaesthesiologist managing the case. To this effect, many drugs have been used and use of serotonin (5-HT3) receptor antagonists like ondansetron, granisetron, tropisetron and dolasetron has been compared in many studies.
