“…Through murine experiments, the effect of laser irradiation and spray cooling on the skin tissue can be directly examined, which is of vital importance to study the response of adipose tissue and optimize the therapeutic parameters. Up to now, obesity rats 13 and miniature pig 14,15 had been employed to explore the efficacy and safety of laser lipolysis through visual inspection, measurement of fat layer thickness before and after laser irradiation, temperature measurement of skin surface and internal tissue, histopathological analysis, assessment of adipocyte microstructure and apoptosis-related DNA tests. Among these methods, histopathological analysis can visualize the morphological changes from cell to tissue scale, which is effective to reveal the mechanism of laser lipolysis.…”

“…Oh et al 14 inspected the thickness of subcutaneous fat layer in miniature pig by micro‐CT, ultrasound, and histopathological analysis, and compared the lipolysis effect of noninvasive lipolysis by a 1060 nm laser and minimally invasive lipolysis by 1980 nm/2300 nm laser. They suggested that the combination of the two lasers may achieve better lipolysis effect.…”
