A Comparison of Two Passive Agglutination Procedures with Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay for Rubella Antibody Status

Abstract: A total of 293 sera, submitted for rubella immune status, were tested by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and two passive agglutination procedures. The Rubascan Kit showed a higher agreement (97.6%) with ELISA than the Rubaquick Kit (95.2%). Rubascan was also easier to read, especially low-positive sera.
