he main goal of the paper is to present procedures and analysis of the measurement that must be performed and the compulsory results to obtain compliance with conducted and radiated electromagnetic emissions. After the introductory section which outlines generalities related to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), the second section focuses on the dichotomy between near-field and far-field, present in two important zones where electromagnetic phenomena are totally different, which however are not well enough highlighted in the specific EMC standards. The third section is devoted to emission measurements that must be performed in different electromagnetic environments and for different types of equipment depicted in the specific standards in force. As an example, the case of electromagnetic emissions produced by a household gas thermal power unit is presented.

This paper presents the assessment of aggregated conducted emission resulted from dynamic interaction of multiple frequency sources in grid in the frequency range of 9 kHz to 150 kHz. The study involves multiple Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFL) connected in a typical indoor lighting configuration. Based on the current standardized Intermediate Frequency Bandwidth (IFBW) laid out in CISPR-11 (Band A), the aggregation by dynamic interaction of highly volatile interference signals generated by these lamps is inadequate to represent the peak total emission. This paper discusses this specific issue accompanying measurements of conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) in this particular multiconverter system. Our measurement results confirm the phenomenon with simple mathematical theorem and simulation illustrations.

This paper is focused on electromagnetic interference from DC/DC converter of photovoltaic system for home application. This converter produces disturbances in a wide frequency range. According to international standard CISPR 11, the frequency range for disturbance measurement could be divided to two sub-ranges (150 kHz -30 MHz and above 30 MHz). All parts of the DC/DC converter is non-ideal and its have a parasitic parameters (especially passive components like an inductor and capacitor). These parasites often show unpredictable interference that is not easy to suppress. The simulation results of a buck converter are presented in the paper and the question about measurement correctness of the radiated emission of this device type according to the relevant standard is asked.
