A Computer Based Control and Supervisory System for an Effluent Treatment Plant

Abstract: This article describes the computer based control and supervisory system installed at the Davyhulme Effluent Treatment Works in Greater Manchester. The advantages of centralised control and supervision of the plant are outlined and the article describes the evaluation of different systems to meet this philosophy.
