The FNPLOG was then used as a companion software program with Epi Info to track nurse practitioner students' practice and prescribing patterns.…”

“…In 32,923 client encounters conducted by 80 FNP students between fall 1995 and spring 1999, hypertension was the most frequently recorded diagnosis (n ϭ 3,269 [9.93%]), and normal pregnancy ranked second (n ϭ 2,419 [7.35%]). 7 One of the benefits to faculty was the ability to compare the list of frequently encountered diagnoses with the curricu-lum to ensure that the content was covered in their courses. Students benefited from data collection opportunities and the ability to incorporate the data into their professional practice portfolios.…”
