Abstract:In 1989, the notion of Photon Transport Transistor (PTT) has been proposed by B.J. Van Zeghbroeck et al., at IBM Research Center at that time. PTT is an optical coupling device of Light Emitting Diode (LED) and light receiving diode (Photo Diode, PD) where the carrier of the base layer is light (Photon) only. Later in 1996, W. N.
