A Construction of mixed Poisson processes via disintegrations

Abstract: ABSTRACT.A new construction of mixed Poisson processes with prescribed distributions for their claim interarrival times is given. As a consequence, some concrete examples of constructing such processes useful for applications are presented and the corresponding disintegrating and claim measures are computed.

“…Clearly, P θ is a probability measure on Σ. So, we may apply [14], Proposition 3.5, to get that tP θ u θPD is a rcp of P over µ consistent with the canonical projection π D from Ω onto D. Putting Θ :" π D we get P Θ " µ, completing in this way the proof of statement (i).…”

“…Put P pEq :" ş r P θ pE θ qµpdθq, for each E P Σ, where E θ is the θ-section of E, and P θ :" r P θ b δ θ for any θ P G, where δ θ is the Dirac measure at θ. Then P is a probability measure on Σ and t r P θ u θPG is a product regular conditional probability on BpΥ N q (see [10], Definition 1.1 for the definition and its properties); hence according to [5] , Proposition 2.5, tP θ u θPG is a disintegration of P over µ consistent with π G (compare [6], Example 5.5). Clearly, putting Θ :" π G we get P Θ " µ.…”
