A CONTRIBUTION TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE ORIBATID MITE GENUS GYMNOBODES (ACARI, ORIBATIDA, CARABODIDAE)

Abstract: A new species of the genus Gymnobodes (Oribatida, Carabodidae) is described from Côte d'Ivoire. G. cotedivoirensis Ermilov sp.n. differs from the other species of the genus by the presence of translamella on the prodorsum, four longitudinal ridges and one pair of posterolateral concavities on the notogaster. A revised generic diagnosis of Gymnobodes is presented.
