A controller design for micro‐cup active‐matrix electrophoretic displays

Abstract: Abstract— The active‐matrix electrophoretic display (AMEPD) has been commonly used for the applications of smart handheld reading devices such as e‐books and e‐newspapers. This paper presents a controller IC design for the AMEPD backend system which reduces the total hardware cost compared to that of the conventional design.
