Abstract:LuAG:Ce scintillators with excellent physical and scintillation properties have been widely utilized in radiation detection. However, three existing problems, such as Ce 3+ ions' selfabsorption effect, coupling-loss, and systems' radiation resistance, limit the LuAG:Ce scintillators' application. A couple-free LuAG:Ce-LuAG scintillating single crystal fiber (SSCF) for detection and transmission integrated performance was grown by the laser-heated pedestal growth method to address these. The Ce element along th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
