A cross‐layer optimization for maximum‐revenue‐based multicast in multichannel multiradio wireless mesh networks

Abstract: SUMMARYGiven a video/audio streaming system installed on a multichannel multiradio wireless mesh network, we are interested in a problem concerning about how to construct a delay‐constrained multicast tree to support concurrent interference‐free transmissions so that the number of serviced mesh clients is maximized. In this paper, we propose a heuristic approach called cross‐layer and load‐oriented (CLLO) algorithm for the problem. On the basis of the cross‐layer design paradigm, our CLLO algorithm can conside… Show more

“…In [73], a heuristic cross-layered and load-oriented multicast routing and channel assignment approach named "CLLO" has been proposed to find an interference-free multicast tree that maximizes the number of users serviced by the sender and satisfied the delay constraint. Given the directed graph G, gateway, and set of receivers, the CLLO computes the node's weight value for each node in the directed graph.…”

“…QoS-aware multicast routing in MC-MR WMNs was considered in [20][21][22][23][24]. The authors of [20] designed a cross-layer algorithm, which performs channel assignment and multicast tree construction jointly.…”

“…Hence, the number of outgoing links of a server node s is no greater than maxF an in constraint (12), while the number of outgoing links of internal tree nodes is limited by maxF an 1 in constraint (13). As for the MI nodes in constraint (14), the number of outgoing links of them should be no greater than one.…”
