“…This modem was tested on GSM HR (Half rate), FR (Full Rate), AMR (Adaptive Multi Rate) and EFR (Enhanced Full Rate) voice codecs and achieved a throughput of 4kbps with 2.5% Symbol Error Rate (SER) on EFR voice codec. Boloursaz et al [9] modeled the AMR voice codec by a discrete memoryless channel and generated the codebook by searching for the symbol set that maximizes this channel's capacity. The symbols where chosen from a database of waveforms derived from observed human speech.…”
