A deep generative adversarial network capturing complex spiral waves in disinhibited circuits of the cerebral cortex

Abstract: Background In the cerebral cortex, disinhibited activity is characterized by propagating waves that spread across neural tissue. In this pathological state, a widely reported form of activity are spiral waves that travel in a circular pattern around a fixed spatial locus termed the center of mass.
