“…A written permission was taken to carry out the study and publication from The Director General of Prisons, New Delhi. Permission was obtained for jail number 6 So, it can be concluded that age, marital status, family type, number of family members, educational qualification, previous occupation, prior income, number of days in jail, type of crime, previous substance use had impact on the presence of anxiety among jail inmates whereas current jail inmate status, number of times convicted had no impact on presence of anxiety.…”
