Abstract: Introduction: Respiratory distress is a common cause of NICU admission. It presents as tachypnea, retractions, nasal flaring, and grunting. Common causes of respiratory distress are transient tachypnea of newborns, pneumonia, respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal sepsis, birth asphyxia, and congenital heart disease.
