A Development Method For Image Quality Measurement Using the Cumulative Line Spread Function

Abstract: The cumulative line spread function (CLSF) is a good category to evaluate the quality of the lens. It was measured during construction an optical test system by applying a new experimental method using a scanning slit of variable width. The energy distribution is then obtained at the best image plane of focus for different focal numbers (of the lens under test). The measured results showed a good agreement when it compared with the a previous calculated values.
