A Dinuclear Palladium(II) Complex of the {N(SPPh₂)₂}^- Ligand – Synthesis and Structure

Abstract

The synthesis and characterization including the crystal structure of the dinuclear palladium(II) complex [(κ-S,S )-{N(SPPh 2 ) 2 }Pd(µ-{κ 2 -S ,S })-{N(SPPh 2 ) 2 }PdCl 2 ] (1) are reported. Compound 1 was obtained from the reaction of [PdCl 2 (COD)] (COD = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) and HN(SPPh 2 ) 2 in a 1 : 1 molar ratio in CH 2 Cl 2 . The {N(SPPh 2 ) 2 } − ligands act both as bridging and/or terminally chelating units.
