Abstract:This paper examines the impact of government expenditure on the economic growth of Nigeria using a disaggregated data set over a seventeen years period from 1999 to 2016. Using ex post facto research method in a multivariate regression methodology, the paper sheds light on how government expenditure influences economic growth in Nigeria.
