A dual realist review: Compression for leg swelling at the end of life has potential quality of life benefit

Abstract: People approaching the end of life suffer lower limb swelling. In this review, the term swelling is chosen to encompass oedema, lymphoedema and swelling of mixed or uncertain aetiology.Little is known about the exact prevalence of swelling in people approaching the end of life, or about the best way to manage swelling in this group.
