“…A self‐tuning method for robust PID control was proposed in Reference 5, which can adjust the gain of PID controller automatically. There are also some optimization algorithms used to provide more accurate PID controller parameters, like heavy‐tailed distribution‐cuckoo search (HTD‐CS) algorithm, 6 chaotic sine cosine algorithm (SCA), 7 and hybrid bacteria foraging optimization with particle swarm optimization algorithm (hBFOA–PSO), 8 which can solve the difficult problem of PID controller parameter tuning in time‐delay systems.
