A family of scalar-Einstein and vacuum Brans-Dicke axisymmetric solutions
Bertrand Chauvineau
Abstract:A new method is proposed, that establishes a one to one correspondance between the whole set of static axially symmetric vacuum GR solutions and a specific class of stationary axially symmetric scalar-Einstein (R ab = ∂aϕ∂ b ϕ) solutions having a given mass and a given angular momentum. The method explicitly takes advantage of the Kerr metric Ricci flatness. This also results in a class of stationary axially symmetric vacuum, ie Kerrlike, Brans-Dicke solutions. A particular solution, that is asymptotically fla… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
