A Genetic Algorithm-Controlled Solar Tracker Robot with Increased Precision Due to Evolution

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present the genetic algorithm used in programming a solar tracker robot. The solar tracker robot can be used to increase the efficiency of solar panels by rotating them toward the Sun. When the efficiency of solar panels is increased, they can reduce the space occupied by them. Efficiency can also be increased by genetic algorithms, where a solar panel can evolve and thus track the Sun more precisely.
