A graph‐based method for Chinese address matching

Abstract

Address matching is basic and essential in fields like navigation (Withanage et al., 2018) and public governance (Sun et al., 2021). The main process of address matching is to link textual address to geo-referenced data with geographic coordinates (Zhang & Yi, 2012). However, due to the complexity in the query expression, Chinese address matching can be troublesome. As can be seen in Table 1, there are multiple ways to refer to the same location in the Chinese language, causing a lot of obstacles in the Chinese address matching field.
