Abstract: Differences between conventional sonar and Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) sonar systems arise in achieving high angular and range resolution. MIMO sonar uses Matched Filtering (MF) with well-correlated transmitted signals to enhance spatial resolution by obtaining virtual arrays.
