A Highly-Integrated Reconfigurable Ka-Band Receiver Supporting Active and Passive Detections in a 90-nm CMOS Technology

Abstract: A highly-integrated reconfigurable Ka-band receiver in a 90-nm CMOS technology is proposed for the applications of satellite wireless communications, remote sensing of atmospheric conditions, and detection of space debris. The proposed receiver can be reconfigured to support active-receiver and passivereceiver modes. At the active-detection mode, it works as a direct-conversion coherent receiver for highspeed and global-coverage satellite communications.
