A hip resurfacing implant in an adolescent with cerebral palsy

Abstract: Pain or skin irritation due to the femoral stump after proximal femoral resection for chronic spastic hip dislocation in children with severe cerebral palsy may be encountered. We describe a technique that, to our knowledge, has been unreported earlier and can deal with this phenomenon to improve the patient's comfort level and help the patient to sit more comfortably.
