A host AAA-ATPase exhibits bacteriolytic activity for clearance of microbial infection

Abstract: An array of cytosol guarding factors impede bacterial invasion and preserve cellular sterility. Amongst them, proteasomal degradation of ubiquitinated pathogens has emerged as a critical mechanism ensuring cytosolic sanctity.
