This paper focuses on a 2BlQ transceiver system which is selected a s the standard of an ISDN loop transmission system in the United S t a t e s of America. We have developed an LSI-based 2B1 Q transceiver. Some of design techniques and performance of the transceiver are covered in this paper. Techniques such a s echo tail suppression, receiver design to configure stable Decision Feedback Equalizer (DFE) operation a n d t o improve NEXT performance, and accurate analog front end circuit are discussed. Experimental results show t h a t satisfactory performance is obtained using the developed transceivers.
