“…in North America Antón et al (2013) were the first to point out that some large North American late Miocene forms were an immigrant from Eurasian Amphimachairodus. The best representative of this immigration event is A. coloradensis, which was previously placed under Machairodus (Cook 1922;Dalquest 1969;Martin and Schultz 1975;Harrison 1983;Hodnett 2010). Such an Amphimachairodus linkage was adopted by more recent authors (Ruiz-Ramoni et al 2019).…”
