A Malting Barley (Hordeum Vulgare L.) Variety, ‘Nurimaeg’ with Resistance to Barley Yellow Mosaic Virus and Tolerance to Lodging Stress

Abstract: A malting barley variety, 'Nurimaeg', was developed with resistance to barley yellow mosaic virus (BaYMV), tolerance to lodging stress, and good brewing quality. 'Nurimaeg' was developed by crossing Milyang127 and Miharu gold in 2004. Regional yield trials were conducted for 'Nurimaeg' as a breeding line 'Iksan175' in four different regions from 2014-2016.
