Abstract:In this paper, we propose a printed circuit board (PCB)-based planar antenna pair, operating at 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands, respectively, for dual-band routers. The antennas are both rectangular and consist of twisted radiating elements and microstrips etched on an FR4 dielectric substrate. Etching slots on the radiating elements and adjusting the serpentine microstrips influence surface current distribution and therefore effectively reduce antenna size and enhance antenna gain.
