A Mixed Reality Services System using Mobile Devices and Cloud

Abstract

Abstract. Mixed reality is a technology that can provide more realistic contents to users than existing augmented reality or virtual reality. The mixed reality service must analyze the actual current environment of a user and provide the virtual contents suitable to the context. It means that mixed reality should provide service contents without being constrained by spatial and temporal limitations in the real space, unlike the virtual reality service. A mobile device can offer contents to a user at any location by using the actual environment and all virtual contents can be presented to a user at any time via the cloud. Therefore, this study proposed a system enabling a user to experience mixed reality by using mobile devices and the cloud.
