This study examined the impact of internal and external green supply chain practices on environmental performance among construction firms. The study used the quantitative survey research design in its methodology. A total of 217 employees were sampled from fifty (50) construction firms. Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyze the data. The results showed that green design does not have a significant positive relationship with environmental performance. However, green design has a positive impact on external green practices namely green purchasing and green construction. Green purchasing and green construction have direct positive relationships with environmental performance. Green design through external green practices have a significant positive relationship with environmental performance. The study found that firm size moderates the relationship between green design, through external green supply chain practices and environmental performance among construction firms.

La importancia de este estudio se centra en estudiar el nivel de integración de una cadena de suministro del sector hotelero: Estudio de caso Hotel Ceibo Dorado en la ciudad de Portoviejo, donde su principal problema es la gran demanda de este servicio y la limitada oferta de empresas dedicadas a esta actividad por las pérdidas de infraestructura en el terremoto en el año 2016. El objetivo de este artículo es analizar la integración de la cadena de suministro del sector hotelero en la provincia de Manabí mediante una metodología que combina los métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos, identificándose la investigación como de enfoque mixto, se utilizaron técnicas investigativas como la encuesta y el sistema SPSS para el análisis de datos. La realidad es que la cadena de suministro del sector hotelero es un factor crítico dentro de la economía de Portoviejo y mejorar este aspecto logístico debe ser una prioridad ante la necesidad de la demanda de los diferentes servicios que ofrecen los hoteles.
