A modified EDAS model for comparison of mobile wallet service providers in India

Abstract: The present paper has two-fold purposes. First, the current work provides an integrated theoretical framework to compare popular mobile wallet service providers based on users' views in the Indian context. To this end, we propose a new grey correlation-based Picture Fuzzy-Evaluation based on Distance from Average Solution (GCPF-EDAS) framework for the comparative analysis. We integrate the fundamental framework of the Technology Acceptance Model and Unified theory of acceptance and use of technology vis-à-vis … Show more

“…The outcomes of MCDM models often become unstable because of sudden changes in the governing conditions, such as changes in the criteria set, variations in the weights, selection of the alternatives, and addition/removal of elements of the decision matrix [ 62 , 63 , 64 , 65 , 66 , 67 , 68 ]. Therefore, it is important to carry out a sensitivity analysis (SA) to examine the stability of the solution.…”

“…Hence, the findings of criteria weights are logical. We move further to find out the relative rankings of the alternatives using the expressions (8) to (13). Table 6 provides the final calculations and rankings.…”

“…Since the market performance depends on the values of a number of indicating variables the present work uses a MCDM approach. MCDM models allow the analyst to carry out a holistic comparative analysis of the alternative options considering their performance with respect to a number of diverse criteria [12][13]. The branch of MCDM methods namely multi-attribute decision making (MADM) intends to rank the alternative choices subject to influence of the criteria set to make a rational selection of the best possible option [14].…”

“…Grey system theory has been implemented together with MCDM methods in recent studies. Recent grey system application studies are; (Alwan et al, 2023;Arunagiri et al, 2023;Badi et al, 2023;Biswas & Pamucar, 2023;Konstantinou & Gkritza, 2023;Lakshmi Narayana & Gopalan, 2023;Raji et al, 2023;Sorooshian, 2023;Zheng, 2023). A few Grey system theory is also applied in 3PL studies.…”
