Abstract:Natural phenethylamines are trace amine neurotransmitters associated with dopamine transmission and related illnesses such Parkinson’s disease, and addiction. Synthetic phenethylamines can have psychoactive and hallucinogenic effects due to their high affinity with the 5-HT2A receptor.
