Aside from the known benefits of computer administration in the tracking of response time, however, there are criticisms of CAT that suggest that differences in item difficulty across examinees may also lead to differences in test time (Chang, 2007;Lu & Sireci, 2007;Guo, 2011;Schmitt, Sass, Sullivan, & Walker, 2010).
