“…The third intends to minimize wind curtailment by maximizing the use of NGCWP. Xu et al constructed a multi‐objective optimization model for NGCWP utilization and argued that NGCWP connected to local users instead of power grid became more and more important, the research also proved the economic and technical feasibility of NGCWP application. Therefore, the paper will launch a study on NGCWP and discuss its collaboration strategy and optimization model to enrich the academic and practical research in this field.…”

“…Wind curtailment occurs when wind energy is available but unable to be used due to the limits of the electrical transmission lines or the potential safety problems concerned with the national power grid, how to mitigate wind curtailment and utilize non‐grid‐connected wind power (NGCWP) remains a challenge and becomes significantly important to increase efficiency of wind power generation and pursue the sustainable development. NGCWP was first suggested by Gu in 1985 and improved continually, and this theory believes that wind output can be directly supplied to end users instead of the grid . From the perspective of wind farm, certain percentage of wind output are purchased by the grid and the rest curtailed output, namely NGCWP, can be utilized to increase the revenue, as Figure shows.…”

“…Compared to analytical methods, simulations in the entire configuration space may be unnecessary for obtaining the optimum solution in a computationally efficient manner. The optimization objectives among these directed search-based methods mainly include economic indicators [30][31][32][33] and stability indicators [31,33]. Berrueta et al [30] designed a battery capacity optimization model with the objective of economic revenue maximization and solved it by employing dynamic programing and a region-elimination technique algorithm.…”
