A multimedia document model for continuous media

Abstract: Multimedia documents are created by including information from various media in a single entity referred to as a document. A document model is required by an editor in order to represent the document electronically. Multimedia document models must contain temporal information so that the representation of continuous media, such as audio and video, is sufficient for the rendering of those media objects. In this paper, we present a multimedia document model called MEDIA DOC.
