Abstract: The prevalence of obesity and non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFL) is steadily increasing. Weight loss can lead to improvement in NAFL in patients and in model organisms. Weight loss can be achieved through either dietary and lifestyle interventions, pharmacotherapy, and bariatric surgery.
