Abstract:End-stage renal disease (ESRD) is a serious disease that requires hemodialysis as the main regimen for supporting patients. The pathophysiology of the disease is still an interesting field of study. In the present study, matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP3), a tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP1), and vitamin D (VitD) were studied in ESRD.
