A natural Anopheles-associated Penicillium chrysogenum enhances mosquito susceptibility to Plasmodium infection

Abstract: Whereas studies have extensively examined the ability of bacteria to influence Plasmodium infection in the mosquito, the tripartite interactions between non-entomopathogenic fungi, mosquitoes, and Plasmodium parasites remain largely uncharacterized.
