Abstract:The technology employed in fiber optic communication which multiplexes a number of optical carrier signals onto a single optical fiber by using different wavelengths of laser light is known as the wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM). In optical WDM networks, when maximum flow algorithms are used for the Routing and wavelength assignment (RWA) problem, it optimizes the network resource usage. The existing routing methods rarely consider the current network load when making the routing decision. In order to o… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
