During the Covid-19 pandemic, urban agriculture, which refers to various forms of agricultural production within or surrounding the city, gained more attention from scholars worldwide. Given the multiple benefits associated with urban agriculture, these practices were adopted to address the adverse impacts in various dimensions, such as food security, health, and well-being. Simultaneously, urban agriculture also was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, influencing the practice from both theoretical and practical perspectives, which expanded the scope of research in this field across various disciplines and perspectives. Consequently, it is difficult to track the topic and scope of the current research status as a basis for developing research about urban agriculture in the future. However, a systematic review that consolidates the current state of knowledge to support advanced research had not yet been conducted. Our paper aimed to fill this gap by employing a bibliometric analysis of articles in the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) to examine the research landscape of urban agriculture and Covid-19. VOSviewer was the main platform adopted to conduct the bibliometric analysis in order to construct the research landscape based on three scopes, namely, main contributors (authors, sources, organisations, and countries), hot issues, and research themes. The analysis revealed that the WoSCC had indexed a total of 214 articles, with an increasing number of publications from 2020 to 2022. Although studies on urban agriculture and Covid-19 were conducted worldwide, authors and organisations from developed countries, especially the United States, were the primary contributors to article publications. The journal “Sustainability” was the main source of published articles about urban agriculture and Covid-19, receiving the highest number of citations. Research on urban agriculture and Covid-19 was conducted under eight crucial research themes associated with the food sector, benefits for health and well-being, climate change and air quality, marginalised communities, practising the community garden, practising home gardening, lessons learned from the policies and projects, and innovation and technology. Despite research being conducted on urban agriculture and the Covid-19 pandemic within different themes and geographical contexts, the majority of studies primarily focused on the benefits and behaviour change associated with urban agriculture practices to mitigate the negative impact of Covid-19 in terms of the food system and mental health. This finding is consistent with the keywords co-occurrence analysis, which identified “food security/insecurity” and “resilience” as the main hot issues. In addition, most of the other high-frequency keywords also were associated with the food system and well-being. Based on these findings, research on urban agriculture during Covid-19 generally concentrated on the crucial problems associated with Covid-19, especially for the food sector and health, rather than urbanization, which had been the primary focus in earlier times. Finally, we provide recommended ways forward for future studies in this field by offering insights into the current scope of the research landscape on urban agriculture and Covid-19, which had been neglected in previous studies.

Pertanian bagi masyarakat adat masih menjadi tumpuan dalam kehidupannya, namun bagi masyarakat Kanekes, Pertanian biasa dijadikan ritual untuk beribadah kepada kepercayaannya, sehingga menjadi kearifan lokal yang menjadi cikal bakal ketahanan pangan masyarakat Kanekes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kearifan lokal yang menjadi faktor penentu ketahanan pangan Urang Kanekes (Baduy), serta kontribusinya terhadap ketahanan pangan di Kabupaten Lebak dan Provinsi Banten. Menggunakan mix-method, untuk pendekatan kualitatif kearifan lokal Urang Kanekes, menghasilkan sistem utama pertanian padi huma yang disimpan di leuit merupakan kearifan lokal yang berperan dalam ketahanan pangan, dan selain bertani berjualan madu, duren, gula merah, dan menjadi tour guide yang berkunjung ke Kanekes. Pendekatan kuantitatif memakai regresi dengan data tingkat Kabupaten Lebak dan data tingkat provinsi. Pertama, regresi panel data sebanyak 28 kecamatan di Kabupaten Lebak selama 12 bulan dari tahun 2020-2021, menghasilkan bahwa Kecamatan Leuwidamar di mana Urang Kanekes berada memiliki stok beras yang lebih tinggi daripada rata-rata kecamatan lain di Kabupaten Lebak untuk setiap bulan sepanjang tahun. Kedua, regresi berganda diterapkan untuk 4 indeks pangan (ketahanan, ketersediaan, keterjangkauan, dan kebermanfaatan) dengan data 8 Kabupaten/Kota di Provinsi Banten antara tahun 2018-2021. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kearifan lokal dengan berladang dan disimpan di lumbung merupakan pilar ketersediaan pangan yang penting bagi suatu komunitas dalam hal ini komunitas Urang Kanekes, di mana ketahanan pangan ditingkat komunitas akan berkontribusi ke tingkat-tingkat selanjutnya hingga tingkat Nasional.

Transforming ASEAN: Strategies for Achieving Inclusive and Sustainable Growth

he year 2023 has again been a momentous year for Indonesia. Indonesia reaffirmed its significance in the global community this year by assuming the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Chair, after its successful Presidency of the Group of Twenty (G20) in 2022. Highlighting the region as an "epicenter of growth," Indonesia supported work to promote sustainable growth and development in the region while securing food security, managing energy transition, and strengthening cross-border connectivity and regional cooperation.These priorities are particularly critical as ASEAN continues to face many challenges 3 years after the global pandemic. Following the region's 5.6% growth in 2022, growth is now expected to slow to 4.6% this year and 4.8% next year. This is slightly below ASEAN's long-term average growth, with the region facing many global headwinds, as described by Adam Tooze as a "polycrisis." Inflation has jumped due to supply chain disruptions resulting from the pandemic and policy responses to the pandemic, as well as higher food and fuel prices resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Geopolitical tensions have risen, financial volatility has increased-and climate change looms ever larger.To surmount the "polycrisis," the global community will need to adopt well-calibrated and wellharmonized policies. Under Indonesia's 2022 chairmanship, the G20 Summit in Bali made several commitments toward this end: staying agile and flexible in macroeconomic policy, protecting macroeconomic and financial stability, promoting food and energy security, unlocking further investments to help developing countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and recommitting to accelerate the achievement of the SDGs.Thus, this book is extremely useful as it examines some of these critical themes, focusing on ASEAN's low-carbon transition, the food security agenda, and the role of the G20 and ASEAN to in supporting ASEAN in the global economy. This publication is practical as it distills both regional and countrylevel knowledge and experience, facilitates the sharing of lessons and best practices, and helps policy makers design better policies, solutions, and recommendations for the region.Going forward, medium-term risks and uncertainties remain but the prospects are also encouraging. It is my hope that this book will help policy makers prepare effective strategies to build on recent economic gains, transform the growth prospects, and help build a more inclusive and sustainable growth path for ASEAN. As we actively engage with stakeholders across Indonesia to identify areas where knowledge and partnerships can foster progress, this publication will also inform the Asian Development Bank's operations and strategy in Indonesia.I thank the Asian Development Bank Institute and all stakeholders and contributors who helped make this publication possible.
