A New Hydraulic Excitation Mode with Liquid-Filled Pipe

Abstract: The current vibration modes, whether inertial vibration or hydraulic vibration, have some problems such as large power consumption and low energy utilization rate. A new low energy hydraulic excitation mode is presented. This mode takes the high-pressured pipe as the new excitation source. Periodic pressure pulsation generated by wave exciter makes the pipe vibrating. The vibration mode of pipe with fluid-structure interaction is established and solved with numerical method. The modal analysis and the simulati… Show more

“…The relationship among the three is shown in Table 2. The converter's frequencies were set artificially, the wave exciter's were calculated by formula (1), and the pipe's acquired from experimental data. It can be seen by comparing data that vibration frequencies of pipe were consistent with the ones of wave exciter.…”

“…Although the former enables parameters adjustable steplessly, the fi nal vibration implementation is still an eccentric block whose energy consumption is high, starting and stopping is difficult. The latter can also adjust vibration parameters, starts and stops quickly, but the system has throttling loss, whose efficiency is low, so it has not been widely used [1,2] . Some studies show that transient flow can produce a low-frequency small-amplitude vibration of hydrocylinder in a certain way.…”
