A New Imaging Logging Technology Based on Magnetoacoustic Tomography with Magnetic Induction

Abstract: Imaging logging is a new technique which has been developing in recent years, its’ silo facilities could collect large information with high resolution, and the measurement result is usually presented in graphics after processed. This paper presents a new imaging logging technique based on magnetic-acoustic Tomography with Magnetic Induction(MAT-MI), introduces its’ logging principle, gives detailed experimental system, makes a simple copper coil experiment and verifies the feasibility of the technique. These … Show more

“…In order to overcome these limitations, several electrical impendence imaging modalities based on coupling of multiphysics fields has been proposed. As one of the technologies, magnetoacoustic tomography with magnetic induction (MAT-MI), [11][12][13][14][15][16] uniting the good contrast of EIT and high spatial resolution of sonography, attracts great attention on the area of biomedical imaging.…”

“…Hu 15 carried out the experimental study on the performance of MAT-MI for imaging in vitro human liver tumor tissue. Xia 16 studied the forward and inverse problems of MAT-MI and developed an imaging logging technology with a large current induced pulsed magnetic excitation. However, most of previous studies for MAT-MI were based on the theory of monopole spherical acoustic radiation, which was used to explain the principles of thermoacoustic tomography (TAT) (Refs.…”
