“…The FSFI, on the other hand, was designed with the option for patients to respond that they were not sexually active or did not attempt intercourse, but it cannot represent the impact of disease such as PFD on sexual function [9,10]. The Pelvic Organ Prolapse/ Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire IUGA-Revised (PISQ-IR) [11] was developed to overcome the above shortcomings by assessing sexual function in women with urinary incontinence and/or pelvic organ prolapse across multiple dimensions, thereby allowing clinicians to evaluate outcome in women who are not sexually active when they require urogynecological care.…”

“…The ICS has given grade A recommendations (highly recommended) to three tools: the International Consultation on Incontinence Modular Questionnaire-Female Sexual Matters associated with Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms (ICIQ-FLUTSsex), and the 12-and 31-question Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Sexual Questionnaires (PISQ-12 and PISQ-31). 1 The PISQ has recently been refined and updated; the new validated tool is referred to as the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA)-Revised (PISQ-IR), 2 and is currently undergoing validation into more than 20 different languages. These questionnaires can be used as part of general assessment of the sexual life of women seeking care for their pelvic floor dysfunction.…”

“…In this protocol the assessment of sexual function will be done with the Pelvic Organ Prolapse/ Incontinence Sexual Questionnaire IUGA Revised (PISQ-IR) which is the most appropriate questionnaire and even offers a validated German translation [26,27]. Being composed of 12 different items, three main factor groups are displayed in this questionnaire: the behavioral emotive factor (4 items), the physical factor (5 items), and the partner-related factor score (3 items).…”
