A new measurement of the Lα1,2 X‐ray emission spectrum of Zn and the K emission bands of Zn and Ga

Abstract: A measurement of the x-ray emission spectrum of Zn is described. The experimental 3d band seems to be slightly narrower than the calculated band provided that the lifetime broadening of the 2p level and the instrumental function are taken into account. The high-energy satellites of the ZnLa,,* line are discussed and the relative intensities of the features considered. Also, the K emission bands of Zn and Ga have been measured.
